Sleeping Like A Baby

I just told someone that I slept like a baby, but that is inaccurate.  We use the term of sleeping like a baby to mean that we had a good night of sleep, but based on first-hand knowledge and so many people's facebook statuses, I believe we should re-evaluate the definition and use of this term.

Next time someone says to you, "I slept like a baby" ask them this.......

Really?  So you were put into a contained area, cried yourself to sleep, woke up at some unpredictable hour crying because you were hungry and because you shat yourself, all while nobody around you knew exactly what you wanted because you did not have the ability to fully communicate your needs, fell back asleep while some pissed-off giant held you and slightly bounced you up and down repeatedly, you were placed back into the contained area without your knowledge or approval, then you woke up again several hours later wondering how in the hell you got back into this cage of yours, tried to figure it out peacefully for a while and when you got lonely, hungry, or if you just wanted out, you had to cry again at the top of your lungs?  Better yet, if you were teething (i.e. God is stabbing you with your own teeth from inside your gums) you must add to this that you screamed in utter pain and terror and those pissed-off giants had to scramble around to find something to numb your pain.

And we consider that a good night of sleep?
